Hugo Mills gives a short talk on the semantic web and RDF. This talk requires some very basic knowledge of web fundamentals. See http://www.hantslug.org.uk/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?TechTalks for more details and copies of the presentation that accompanied the talk. This talk was given at the Hampshire Linux User Group (HantsLUG) meeting on 3rd June 2006 at Southampton University.
There is an OGG Theora / Vorbis version available. The archive.org site doesn't seem to recognise Theora files at the moment. Get it here: http://www.archive.org/download/HampshireLinuxUserGroupIntroductiontotheSemanticWeb/semweb.ogg

Nice overview of the semantic web
Sound quality was pretty good, but this video would have been more useful if the camera was focused on the screen (thanks for providing the slides, though).
This video was informative. The speaker gives a coherent overview of the semantic web, and then provides a number of useful examples of how it can be applied.
